A Day Trip to Nantucket

In late April, I took a little trip up to Cape Cod.  A friend has been living there with her family and the were getting ready to move away, so I didn't want to miss the opportunity to see if The Cape lived up to all the hype.  On my first day there, we bundled up and boarded the ferry for a day trip to Nantucket.  As a kid, I'd loved the show Wings, and I was drawn to the island by the memories in my mind.  Nantucket was spectacular.  We were there just a few days before the official "start of the season" Daffodil Festival.  Most businesses were still closed, but the owners were out an about, spring cleaning and stocking their stores for the exciting weekend ahead.  We had a beautiful day to explore there, binging on a huge seafood lunch, taking in the sights, and stopping by a brewery.
