Exploring Inland Belize- Wildlife, Waterfalls, Ruins, and Cacao!
When I planned our trip to Belize, I knew that I wanted to see more of the country than just the coast. We decided to spend the second half of our trip at a nature preserve where we could visit waterfalls, go hiking, and see unique species of wildlife.
The Hidden Valley Inn was an absolutely incredible experience. Their bungalows were perfect, their meals were so delicious, and their tour guides were entertaining and educational. We went on guided nature walks, took a day trip to the ruins and the local swimming hole, and we explored the area on our own, visiting local markets, a cacao farm, and hiking the grounds in search of waterfalls.
