Thank you for visiting Jennifer Carr Photography. I run my small, very personal business as an LLC. I am an individual and all opinions expressed on this website and affiliated social media are my own. I love creating photographs and teaching others to create photographs.

My gear reviews are honest and unbiased. I do not accept paid posts, take money for reviews, or recommend gear that I do not stand behind.

All content found here created by me. Please respect my copyright. Should you wish to use my content, please contact me directly and provide quotes, credit, and direct links to the original materials.

Some of the links I share are affiliate links, meaning that should you make a purchase after visiting a link, I receive a small percentage of the purchase price with not direct impact on your purchase. This helps me to pay for website hosting, domain registration, image galleries, and other administrative costs that my small business incurs.

I respect your privacy. Should you chose to share personally identifiable information with my website, I will never give out, sell, or share your information, including your name and email address. When you sign up for my newsletter, comment on my website, or make a purchase, I use your information to contact you directly regarding Jennifer Carr Photography and that is all. I have no access to your credit card information. My website is hosted on Squarespace, you may view their privacy policy here. My print shop is hosted on SmugMug, you may view their privacy policy here. Non personal identifiable information is collected by Squarespace and my other service providers through the use of cookies. This information is used to administer my website, view which pages you have visited, and better understand how users interact with my website.

All Services Terms & Conditions

Payment is due at the time of booking to secure your service date and time. This is a non-refundable fee, but may be transferred to another date with 48 hours prior notice.  As the client, if you fail to attend the session on the scheduled date and time, no refund will be given.  Should you need to reschedule, you must notify me at least 48hours prior to your scheduled date for the session to be transferred to another date.  

I reserve the right to reschedule due to personal illness, weather, equipment malfunction, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond my control.  Should I have to cancel and rescheduling is not possible, your fee will be refunded in full.

I am not responsible for any injuries to any of the involved parties. Clients will be responsible for themselves and their dependents.

Photography Lessons and Mentoring Terms & Conditions

Jennifer Carr does not claim to be an expert or know and understand everything about photography and or camera equipment, technical performance, business, accounting, or editing. The information being provided is based solely on her own learning and experience.

The information learned in your mentoring session is a result of the extensive time and effort spent by Jennifer Carr learning and studying the art of photography. Recording of your mentoring session is not allowed. In addition, you must not share copies of any materials obtained from this session, including, but not limited to, contracts, educational supplements, notes, or business guidelines. Information obtained from this session cannot be shared with anyone for personal or business use, in writing or verbally. Online mentoring videos may be saved to your computer for personal use only.

All photos shared in any social media outlets (blogs, Facebook, etc.) from your mentoring session must include the information that they came from learning with Jennifer Carr Photography. Please tag Jennifer Carr Photography on social media whenever possible and share the website address in your post.

Jennifer Carr is not responsible for any personal injury or damage to equipment during your photography lesson or the use of products provided by her.

The Saltwater retreat Terms & Conditions

Due to the nature of vacation rental homes, this retreat is non-refundable. However, should you find another person to fill your spot, then a full refund will be granted following the other's registration. There are no exceptions to this policy. I strongly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to protect yourself in the event of unexpected circumstances preventing you from attending the workshop. Trip insurance is available for purchase through your local AAA office.

Lodging, itinerary and photography locations are subject to change.

CoVID POLICY

Traveling to and attending a retreat in close proximity to other people creates some level of risk in exposure to COVID-19 and/or other illnesses. By attending The Saltwater Retreat, you understand, acknowledge, and accept that risk.

Portrait & Commercial Session Terms & Conditions

Retouching is included with your portrait session. Photographs will be processed in color.  Requests for black and white or other special processes must be made prior to your session.  I reserve the right to modify images for artistic purposes to ensure quality of the images. However, I cannot make you younger, thinner, change clothes, or locations. Additionally, I cannot guarantee image results due to circumstances beyond my control, including but not limited to: weather related issues (including sunlight, cloud cover, wind, etc), client’s appearance, sick or unhappy participants, etc.  After delivery, additional retouching requests will be $25 per image.

A minimum of 30 digital proofs will be posted to an online viewing gallery within two to three weeks of the portrait session. You will have 14 days to view, share, and place your order.  USB drives of your proofs may be purchased for $30 + s&h.  Requests to reopen your online gallery after it closes will incur a $25 fee.

Photographs taken during your session may be used for the purposes of display, advertising, portfolio, website, or any publication to promote Jennifer Carr Photography.  If you would prefer to not have your family’s photographs shared, please email me and let me know.

Jennifer Carr Photography is not responsible for loss or damage to prints or digital files due to circumstances beyond my control. Be aware that color dyes in prints may fade or discolor over time.  It is recommended that you always backup your computer files to prevent total loss of images.

Jennifer Carr Photography owns the copyright to all images created during the portrait session. Reproduction, copying, scanning, selling, or altering images without my permission is dishonest, inconsiderate, and illegal. All prints will be purchased through Jennifer Carr Photography and reproductions of images may not be made without a signed release from Jennifer Carr Photography. You may purchase web ready images to share on social networking sites, personal websites, and other internet communication and full resolution digital images for printing up to 8×10 at a recommended print lab. Do not modify these images in any way, including cropping out the logo.  Should you share your photographs on social media, you are asked to tag Jennifer Carr Photography.

Jennifer Carr Photography is not responsible for prints made outside of her studio’s print lab.  Prints purchased through Jennifer Carr Photography’s website off a 100% satisfaction guaranteed.  Outside print labs each use different settings for printing, some of which may manipulate the image.  Often they add contrast, saturation, and color adjustments, which work against what a photographer is trying to accomplish.  If you choose to print on your own, it is recommended that you print using a professional quality print lab such as www.mpix.com.

Refund Policy for Services Provided

All sales on services are final. Should you need to reschedule, you must notify me at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled date and time for the session to be transferred to another date.  

Refund Policy for Print Orders

All print sales are final, however if your piece arrives damaged in any way please notify me within 48 hours of receipt and I will work to replace your order.  You will be asked to provide photographs of the damaged items as well as the shipping containers.  If you are unhappy with your print, please notify me within 48 hours of receipt and we will work together to rectify the situation.

Refund Policy for Digital Images

Due to the nature of digital photography and the fact that digital photographs, once sent, cannot be returned; there is a no refund policy on all digital image files purchased.  Once a transaction has been completed, it is considered to be non refundable.
