It's not often that you can just pop into another country.  After coming down from Mont Blanc on the Italian side, we decided to take the bus through the Mont Blanc tunnel and spend the night in Chamonix, France.  Known as the mountaineering capital of the world, we couldn't miss our chance to see the French side of the mountain.  Unfortunately, the weather had other plans, and the only thing we saw was rain.  But, we made the most of our time in Chamonix, drinking French wines, dining on macrons, and hitting all the best gear shops.

When the time came to leave, we climbed aboard the bus to take us back into Italy to our final destination of Torino, where we'd fly out of the next day.  We had been to Torino during our first visit to the Alps, so we know we already loved the town.  We had just enough time for a walk through the town, a long Italian dinner, gelato, and a night's rest in an oddly placed hotel with the weirdest door entrances.
