Noticing Magic in a walk through the Elizabethan Gardens

I recently found myself wandering around the Elizabethan Gardens.  It was early spring and not much was blooming except a few patches of rhododendrons.  The trails were deep and wooded, rich in shadows.  Patches of light peeked through as the sun climbed higher and higher in the sky.  It was a great time to pull out the Helios and create some flare.  The Helios is an interesting lens, sometimes producing the most beautiful flare and other times offering what only appears as gobs of haze on a photograph.  On this day, the flare worked perfectly framing the flowers as the sunlight streamed down through the trees.
