The 2018 Saltwater Retreat: Women's Photography Retreat

October brought another incredible week on Hatteras Island for the 2018 Saltwater photography retreat for women.  The fall skies put on their best show and the rain was kept mostly to a minimum.  We spent the week soaking up every moment of our photography vacation together, shooting, sharing, and smiling.  Mornings were spent watching the sunrise from the oceanfront home, either walking on the beach or observing from the deck.  Afternoons were spent exploring the island or traveling to Manteo in search of small town treasures.  While we all missed the Frisco Pier, we were offered plenty of island destruction caused by the shoreline erosion through Avon. The 2019 women’s photography retreat seems just around the corner and I cannot wait to show a new group of friends my favorite little place on earth.

The Saltwater Retreat is a women’s photography retreat and creativity workshop designed to educate, inspire and help you become the photographer you long to be. Held on the shores of Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks of North Carolina, this is chance for women photographers to spend a week immersing themselves in the craft of creating photographs without the distractions of home, this photography trip is more of a vacation than a workshop.
