I have a confession... I love the rain.  I love the gentle sound it makes tapping against the world as it's falling.  I love the feeling of it on the tip of my nose as I hurry from my car to the store.  I love the excuse to wear bright pink rain boots no matter where I'm going.  I love the smell when it stops raining and the feeling that everything has been washed clean.  Photographers aren't supposed to like rain.  It won't stop raining has to be one of the most common whines collectively among photographers.  But if you stop for a moment and appreciate the beauty of the rain, you'll find that it really doesn't hinder your photography at all.  Rain offers a chance to see things that you might have missed during the sunshine.  So next time it's raining and you're left feeling dreary, take a moment to watch the drops as they fall to the ground.  Listen to the rain as it pitter patters on the windows. I guarantee you'll find a new appreciation for rain.
