Stormy Seascapes in Black and White

While I feel most connected with color nature photography, I so admire a beautiful black and white. Drawing on inspiration from photography friends, I decided to give black and white seascapes a try when a nor-easter hit our little town on the east coast, bring incredible waves and wind. When the winds finally died down enough that I felt comfortable taking my camera out, I headed for a walk to the pier. The waves were huge, the sky was grey, and the light was harsh. I had fun playing with contrast and shadows.
