The Burn of the Memory - Sunset at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge
These nights when the sun sets brilliantly
I’m left to stare in wonder
Pausing to take in the peace and quiet
The only sounds coming from the marshes below
I wish I could bottle up the senses
To carry with me in a jar
I only have the click of the shutter
And the burn of the memory onto the frame
