The Last Signs of Fall

Is it just me or was fall short lived?  Here in southeastern Virginia we seemed to go straight from summer days to "quick!  save the plants from frost!"  Everywhere I look, there are signs of fall saying goodbye and winter moving in quickly.  Christmas carols are playing on store speakers, decorations are filling the houses next door, and my email inbox is flooded with offers of Black Friday sales.  For just today, I'm going to hold on a few minutes longer to the feeling of fall.
