This private 1.5-hour session will be conducted in person, outdoors at an agreed upon location. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or experienced looking to grow your skills, each lesson is tailored to your unique needs based on your current experience level and interests.
Some topics we could cover include:
How to use manual mode- understanding aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
How to get better focus- understanding focusing modes and points.
How to meter, read a histogram, and expose images in challenging light.
How to photograph in any light- including sunrise, mid-day, overcast, shadow, sunset, and twilight.
How to approach and plan a shoot on location.
What to photograph when conditions aren’t what you had hoped.
How to shoot landscape, nature, macro, travel, and/or special techniques including long exposure, macro, astrophotography, Lensbaby lenses, manual focus, etc.
Currently based in the San Jose – San Francisco Bay Area. Sessions in the Outer Banks and Virginia Beach are scheduled seasonally; please contact me for upcoming East Coast dates.
