Exploring Mori Point: Photographing the Pacifica Bluffs
On the day that I visited the Pacifica Pier, we continued our photo walk along the boardwalk down the trails up to Mori Point.
We started on the lower paths before heading up the dirt trails that wind along the edge of the cliffs. The weather was classic Northern California coast with the sun popping in and out between layers of grey fog and windy.
The trail winds up the cliffside, the more direct route through steep stairs to the top or the more leisurely switchback trail. Once you reach the top, you get a clear view of the ocean below as well as the surrounding shoreline in the distance.
Being from the flat beaches of the east coast, Iโm always struck by the drama of the California coast, the beauty of rocky cliff sides meeting patches of wildflowers all leading to the deep blue water below.
This beautiful spot is definitely one that I can see myself returning to again and again, camera in hand.
