Introducing the Helios

daisy, sunlight, photography, flowers, helios

When a friend began sharing her images taken with the Helios 44-2, I knew I need to know more about this lens.  Manufactured in the Soviet Union, the Helios lens produces amazing flare and beautiful bokeh.  I found an excellent copy on eBay and patiently waited as it shipped from the Ukraine.  When the Helios finally arrived, the days were full or clouds, with not an opportunity for sunflare in sight.  So I set out to find some wildflowers and get some wide open practice instead.
