Point Arena Lighthouse: The Final Stop on the Way to Silicon Valley

This post is part of a series documenting my relocation road trip from Seattle to my new home in the San Francisco Bay Area.

My main goal for the last day of the relocation road trip, other than making it to my new home, was to visit the Point Arena Lighthouse. I arrived much too early to access the grounds, but the real beauty of this lighthouse lies in capturing it perched on the distant cliff. I sipped my coffee, watching the waves crash below in the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. The grassy areas surrounding the grounds were full of wild Irises, just waking up for the day alongside me.

The rest of the day was spent putting miles under the tires, stopping only to stretch my legs and take a peek off the cliffs to see what lay below. Oh, and for some fresh eggs! I know I’ll be back to explore this beautiful shoreline, this was just a taste of the adventures to be had.
