The Iconic Portland Head Lighthouse in Maine

Upon our arrival in Maine for the Styled Life Retreat, we spend our first evening at the Portland Head Lighthouse. Maine’s oldest lighthouse, Portland Head dates back to George Washington’s order in 1791 when it was first lit to guide waterman into the harbor through the rough Atlantic seas. At a cost of $1,500, the lighthouse was completed in 4 years time.
